My reputation of addressing difficult issues and boldness in speaking out stands in stark contrast to those who watch one another and constantly modify their messages to pacify their critics.
As the author of two books on Israel and a student of the Middle East, I am intimately acquainted with our national security threats and radical Islam, our most serious outside threat.
I possess a very good understanding of international situations, including the unique complexities of the Middle East and our complicated relationships with Russia and China.
I am a uniter rather than a divider, preferring reasoned unity over unreasonable division. I view partisan politics as disruptive, counterproductive and enormously costly to our nation. This is particularly evident in national and financial security challenges.
My experience as a White House news correspondent provides extraordinary behind-the-scenes experience and insight. I have learned much from the White House visits of world leaders and even more from the daily routines and events of the nation’s capital.
I also witnessed with great interest some of the most important debates in our history pertaining to national security, the Iraq War, immigration, Social Security, education, stem cell research, energy policies, the environment and many other issues of national concern.
I know what it’s like to earn a living, as I worked for one of the largest commercial real estate companies in the world. Although my interests are varied, I particularly enjoy an abiding passion for business and economics and am extremely well versed in both fields.
I possess solid conservative credentials both socially and economically, believing in careful thought over careless action.

About William Koenig
William Koenig was born in 1954 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Joan Foster Koenig and the late Virgil Koenig.
Virgil, a Marine pilot, flew Corsairs in World War II and won the Distinguished Flying Cross as an F7F night bomber in the Korean Conflict.
Joan was a market research specialist for Proctor & Gamble, which today ranks in the top 25 of the Fortune 500. She received her master’s degree in political science from Arizona State University and was active in the Democratic Party in Arizona.
Joan and Virgil enjoyed business successes in aviation, farming and ranching.
William attended Casa Grande Union High School in Casa Grande, Arizona, serving as class president for three years and student body president his senior year. He was an honor student and active in sports.
He received a principal appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. He was a member of the Presidential Classroom for Young Americans in Washington, D.C., which provides young leaders with an extraordinary academic and leadership experience. He was an alternate senator for Arizona for Boys Nation. He received a Medallion of Merit Scholarship from Arizona State University in Tempe.
William graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Communications. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was a two-time student senator, vice president of Boys Federation, and a member of Archons Greek Honorary. He was active in intramural sports.
He embarked on a business career in 1978 with Coldwell Banker (now CB Richard Ellis), a major international real estate company. He began his work in Phoenix, transferring to Dallas, Texas in 1979. He worked with two other commercial real estate companies in Dallas before starting his own brokerage and investment company in 1984.
In a career change during the summer of 1996, William began publishing “Koenig’s Watch,” a weekly summary of important Middle East and world news. He moved the publication online in 1997, expanding the coverage and changing the name to “Koenig’s International News” (watch.org).
The news service offers a large variety of news and today has readers and e-mail subscribers in all 50 states and 80 countries around the globe.
In early 1999, William produced the audiotape, “Countdown 2000,” discussing ten major events to watch moving into the new century.
He moved his news organization to Washington, D.C., in 2001 and became a White House correspondent.
His experience as a White House news correspondent has provided extraordinary behind-the-scenes experience and insight. He has learned much from the White House visits of world leaders, the daily routines and events of our nation’s capital, and some of the most significant news events in our nation’s history.
He also writes a 12-page weekly news report, “Koenig’s Eye View from the White House.”
In 2001, he co-authored a book with John McTernan, Israel: The Blessing or the Curse, and in 2004 he authored Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel.
William has traveled extensively to 49 U.S. states and 32 foreign countries on six continents.
He was a member of First Baptist Dallas and Dallas Theological Seminary’s President’s Council before moving to Washington.
William and his wife, Claudia, reside in the Washington metropolitan area. They attend McLean Bible Church in McLean, Virginia.
Claudia Koenig
Claudia Roxanna Diaz-Infante Koenig was born in 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Her mother, Ernestina Diaz-Infante (deceased), received her education at Texas A&I University. She had a B.S. and M.A. in education, with a specialization in Spanish. She was a Spanish and elementary school teacher.
Claudia received her education at Texas Woman’s University. She earned a B.S. in education with a specialization in Spanish and a master’s in English, graduating with honors.
She is fluent in English and Spanish and has worked with five languages in business related to education.
Claudia taught at elementary and college levels in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 13 years and served as a foreign language consultant for a major international company headquartered in Canada. She also taught English to foreign business executives.
She has traveled to 22 countries and enjoys mentoring young women.
